Nickel content in field crop seeds and agricultural soil in Central Serbia

Nickel (Ni) is an essential nutrient for animals and it has important role in many physiological biochemical processes higher plants. At the same time, belongs to group of potentially toxic elements (PTEs). The aim this study determine Ni concentrations soil-plant relationships between main crops agricultural land Central Serbia. A total 71 bulked soil samples are taken from topsoil at depth 0-30 cm area belonging 6 statistical districts seed collected during harvest as average sample each observed plot, which 26 corn, 19 sunflower, 17 wheat, 9 soybean samples. Analysis includs parameters available soil, well concentration seeds. median value 44.8 mg kg-1, close MAC. nickel wheat corn seeds 0.5 while sunflower have content 8.40 10.26 respectively. Bioaccumulation factors (BAF) present ranges 0.013 (corn) 0.256 (soybean). According statistically significant differences, all equal NiT NiA differs soils under cultivars. Based on BAF, two groups distinguished ? soybeans sunflowers with lower seed. obtained differences confirm that plant species a bio?accumulation Ni. determined BAF parameter negative correlation except maize.
